A Wonderful Noon

Bangka Belitung, province of beautiful islands offers wonderful beaches. From my past story, you probably had known some spots of tourism. If you hadnt, its better to open the label and see some beaches I am talking about.

For this new update, I capture nice views from Sungailiat district. Tanjung Kelayang, its named located among Parai Tenggiri Beach and Resort and Matras Beaches. Local habits are familiar with the two spots. Because they have already been famous for entirely people in Bangka Belitung. But, I bet less people know where Tanjung Kelayang is.

So, here I am going to tell you short description of this wonderful peninsula. First, how getting to beach. For the beginning, you must go to Bangka island Indonesia [heee]. There are lot of Tour Travels that can guide you to any tourism spots in Bangka Belitung. Just ask them to accompany to Kelayang Beach. Its so easy.

If you keen on, you may use taxi after landing in Depati Amir airport. There, you just ask them to pick you to Sungailiat as well as to the local resort or motel. It just take about one hour from air port in Pangkalpinang to sungailiat. For backpackers, this can be enjoyable. You can rent a car or motorcycle to travel in Sungailiat. Especially to Tanjung Kelayang. Thats it.

Second, what can I get from Tanjung Kelayang. You are going to see small beach. To relax meanwhile the air from the sea, blows your face. It can be a great sensation. Let alone, putting your dress off, swimming to the limpid sea water. While the tropical air fulfill you. If you want, you can camp here too. Its near location to the city center, Sungailiat in about 15 minutes will give other advantages to get needs. Like food and drink.

A very memorized moment is when the sea recede [you can see pictures below]. A wide white sand covered the sea shore. The group of stones side by side give a very nice landscapes. TELUK LIMAU; A Small Beautiful Bay in Sungailiat

A Small Beautiful Bay in Sungailiat

One of tourism spot in Sungailiat, Bangka Kabupaten is Teluk Limau. As its name, this is actually small bay with some boats in it. Located about 5 km away from center of city district, Sungailiat.

An easy access to the bay, because it still inclusive to the two well known beaches in Sungailiat, Parai Tenggiri Beach and Matras Beach. Although it is just a bay, but it offer luxuries scenes.

Its typical outlook are coconut tress grow on the way to the bay. The granite stones fulfill the sea shore. They become common in variety size. The main scene is a bay it self, where the fishermen from local village hitch their boat.

The bay also become a place where coral reef grows. Some researcher and students from Bangka Belitung University often do the research here.On Vacation day, this place are visited by local people.

Mahayana Hills on The Bukit Kelik Hills

A place offer nice view and fresh water

Located on one of the tops of hills that back the Sungailiat City in one side, This temple become one of favorite place to come. Its name Wisata Alam Religi Bukit Lubuk Kelik, a place where Buddhist Mahayana visit and pray. To get there, its so easy because near to the city center. Local people especially the younger use motorcycle to the place about 35 km away from Pangkalpinang and 1 km away from the center of Bangka district. Some say, it located on Lubuk Kelik Hills, other say its on Bukit Betung, majority even say its located on bukit semut.

Because its height about 500 meters, and 45 degree mires, the visitors need to climb up. But hundreds stairs make it easier to reach the top. Its so mired then, you have make some efforts for it. Dont forget to bring the drink and some snacks. Although you will find little shop, but when at the top, this can be useful.

Okey, Ill tell you, the A to Z in how to get in. First Just pass the Lubuk Kelik road, then a few meters a head, you will meet a gate on the right, has Chinese writing. Just enter then. For meters a head, the road tend to up and zig zag route. Thats why, you need motor or car in good condition. Then, you will meet parking area at the left..

Leave the car, and walk to the up. Here we will get the highland condition. Fresh air from the jungle from the side of road. The sings from birds over you. What a very cool time!. Its adviced to come on morning or after midday. The panorama is excellent. You should bring camera too, some nice spots can be taken.

This temple are an area of many facilities, such a huge temple that in progress. A red and green coloring the stairs make it unique. Then a cave at the middle give mystic ambiance. For the top, its main object from the area. Its a Buddha sculpture in golden brush. Looking to the below, where the sky covered all the panorama. You can stand and see the whole Sungailiat City from this location. What a perfect moment!.
